Hello! I reverted the image you placed at File:Flag of Holland, Michigan.svg and wanted to be courteous by providing an explanation. That variation of the flag isn't used by Holland, which can be seen in this photo of the Civic Center. You probably spent some time making that variation of the flag and making the file as correct as possible, so I want to say I admire your work and appreciate your interest in the accuracy of the files here. Hi, you archived this thread before I could respond. You say personal photos taken in the US in the 1980s are in the public domain if they're "promulgated publicly and never registered with the US Copyright Office formally". Do you mean that File:Friendly's Rocky Point night crew - 1984.webp and File:Hot fudge at Friendly's ice cream, 1984.webp are public domain because whoever took them published them in 1984, and they're public domain now? (The context isn't obvious to me from the Reddit thread.) Or does anybody sharing a 1980s family photo on the internet forty years later release it into the public domain by doing so?
