Español: Tiene forma de un triángulo equilátero que se apoya en uno de sus lados; éstos son de reborde metálico (oro). En el campo próximo a la base hay un terreno horizontal, un istmo, que toca ampliamente ambos lados oblicuos del triángulo, "bañado por ambos mares". Sobre dicho terreno hay una cadena de cinco volcanes en reposo, equidistantes entre sí, de igual altura, más dibujados en perspectiva, con escorzo hacia el lado izquierdo. Formando circunferencia alrededor del elemento central se escribirá en letras mayúsculas, todas de igual tamaño y del mismo metal (oro) la leyenda: REPÚBLICA DE NICARAGUA AMÉRICA CENTRAL. La primera leyenda (REPÚBLICA DE NICARAGUA) estará escrita encima del triángulo, simétricamente en relación a la línea de su eje o altura, con la base de los caracteres vuelta hacia el centro de la circunferencia. La segunda leyenda (AMÉRICA CENTRAL) irá debajo del triángulo o elemento central, en simetría respecto del mencionado eje, y la parte superior de los caracteres vuelta hacia el centro de la circunferencia.
