The further I get into this internet thing, the more I learn about the who’s who<\/strong> of  Web 2.0.<\/a> <\/p>\n

In Cleveland, we happen to have a who<\/strong>..Jim Kukral.<\/a> Here is an interview with Jim, and his new project…<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Hi Jim! I met you online several months back, and am a part of your AwesomeMillion website. I also met you in person at a marketing event that featured John Jantsch, of Duct Tape Marketing fame.<\/p>\n

1. Jim, when did you start getting interested in the internet?<\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
>>> In 1995 I had two job interviews.
\nOne for a traditional ad agency in Akron, OH who wanted to hire me to do desktop
\npublishing stuff. The other interview was for a company called Mozes Cleveland
\n& company, a "new media" startup with 3 people. I decided to try the "new"
\njob. My first day at work they gave me an HTML book and said learn this. I had
\nnever even really surfed the web before. I made the right choice looking back
\n\ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n

2 When you decided to be an internet marketer full time, did
\nyour family think you were a tad nuts?<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/div>\n
>>> No, because the day I decided to
\ndo it was after many months of bringing home extra checks from my efforts. They
\nthought I was nuts to keep my full time job, and to stay up half the night still
\nworking on my other stuff.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. I have read that you own, or have
\nowned 100 websites. What do you do with them?<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/div>\n
>>> I own close to 200<\/strong> domain names,
\nwith about 70 active. Most are just frivolous stuff like www.makefunneraword.com or www.bigbrownbox.com. Then there are my
\naffiliate niche sites or landing pages. But mostly, I have a couple of bigger
\nmain projects like www.scratchback.com
\nthat really rule the server I own. But make no mistake, almost every website
\nearns money, even if it’s only $5\/month.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. You seem to have new
\nideas constantly, but the one that is starting to generate buzz in the internet
\nmarketing world is something you are calling  Scratchback<\/strong>. What exactly IS
\nScratchback<\/strong>? <\/div>\n

 <\/div>\n
>>> It’s a publishing system that
\ntakes a unique approach to helping anyone with a website or blog have fun, and
\nalso maybe earn a buck. We’re looking for more beta applications, so come to the
\nsite and sign up.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. When will Scratchback<\/strong> be live?<\/div>\n

 <\/div>\n
>>> Beta users will begin testing
\nsometime in August.<\/span><\/p>\n

6. What advice would you give would be
\ninternet marketers?<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/div>\n
>>> Get creative. Even the most hard
\nto tackle niches can be conquered with creativity and a unique marketing
\nmessage. Try something new. Do video… today!<\/span><\/p>\n

7. What is the most
\npromising technology that we will be seeing and experiencing in the next year or
\ntwo?<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/div>\n
>>> I’m going to say that mobile
\nvideo <\/u>will be the next huge thing. Imagine being able to watch a movie on your
\nphone, or to send a live, streaming video of your kids to grandma’s phone 1,000
\nmiles a way? Every phone in the coming years will be like a little video camera.
\n<\/em><\/p>\n
