I happen to think that the franchise ownership business model<\/strong> rocks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

And?<\/p>\n

Franchise ownership<\/a><\/strong> can provide you with an opportunity to build something of value.<\/p>\n

And?<\/p>\n

Owning a franchise can provide you with a much-needed feeling of accomplishment.<\/p>\n

And?<\/p>\n

It can also provide you with a sense of power\u2026of finally having some<\/em> level of control over your life.<\/p>\n

Unless of course you shouldn’t buy a franchise in the first place.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Franchise Ownership Rocks For Some<\/h2>\n

If someone came to me for guidance after scoring really, really low on my free franchise quiz, (which helps determine if someone is a fit for franchise ownership<\/i>) here\u2019s what I would gently tell them:<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cDon\u2019t waste any more time looking into franchise ownership. Go out and get a job or find an independent business that you can buy<\/i>.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I\u2019d be telling them that because they\u2019ll probably end up losing their shirt<\/a><\/strong>\u2026their hard-earned money-in any franchise that they\u2019re stupid enough to buy. And the 10 year franchise agreement (a legal and very<\/i> enforceable contract<\/i>) that they\u2019ll have to sign will feel like a 30 year agreement because they\u2019ll be absolutely miserable having to follow all of those \u201csilly rules<\/i>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Forget that last statement; I made a mistake. They won\u2019t have to worry about their 10-year franchise agreement; they\u2019ll probably be gone before the first year is even over.<\/p>\n

Franchise Ownership Failures<\/h2>\n

Failure rates in franchising<\/a><\/strong> need to go down.<\/p>\n

I feel that as long as readers of this blog, and the other websites and blogs that I write for, follow the advice that I provide-failure rates can <\/i>indeed improve.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s right; The Franchise King<\/b>\u00ae is acting like a King. I\u2019m puffing out my chest, and I even have my Crown on as I\u2019m writing this post. (You\u2019re not getting a picture.<\/i>)<\/p>\n

Hey, I\u2019m just trying to change the franchise world<\/a><\/strong>. So back off. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Kings Can Use Their Power Anyway They Want<\/h2>\n

Maybe I\u00a0shouldn’t<\/i>\u00a0write about both the pros and the cons of franchise ownership<\/a><\/strong> anymore. Maybe, I should just shut down my free franchise quiz. It is<\/i> getting kind of tedious to score the dozens and dozens of quizzes I receive every couple of days, one\u2013by-one, by hand. Maybe I should become a franchise broker again; the money I was making was sure nice. And, maybe I can start making a ton of 100% pro-franchise ownership videos on YouTube. I could, you know. I could start selling The American Dream<\/em> again. It would be so damn easy to push super-positive franchise ownership content out to my established, large (and still growing<\/i>) social media networks<\/a><\/strong>. I could. I can be very convincing. It\u2019s one of my Royal powers. Except.<\/p>\n

I\u00a0wouldn’t\u00a0be able to sleep very well<\/i>. Most nights I\u2019d be tossing and turning. Things just wouldn’t feel right to me.<\/p>\n

I would no longer be an independent and totally neutral party for my clients<\/b><\/i>. Actually, my clients wouldn’t even be<\/em> my clients anymore. They\u00a0couldn’t<\/i>\u00a0be, because I would be \u201cselling<\/i>\u201d franchises. The franchisors<\/em> would be my clients again.<\/p>\n

Me no like that<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Now, I do<\/i> like most<\/i> franchisors\u2026some of my best friends in the franchise industry are franchisors, or work for them or work with them, or are franchisees. (Hi Barney, Marshall, Rush, Charles, Josh, Butch, Rob, Rick, Diana, Rhonda, Sean, Mike, Shelly, Jerry<\/i>.)<\/p>\n

But, I just can\u2019t do it. I don\u2019t even want<\/em> to.<\/p>\n

I want to continue working with prospective franchise owners as an advisor<\/em>. I like teaching (and coaching<\/em>) people on the right way to choose, research, and buy a franchise. So they won’t lose their money. So they can be successful franchise owners.<\/p>\n

And, while I get frustrated that some of the people who are considering franchise ownership<\/strong><\/a> can\u2019t be convinced that investing a small amount of their money with a franchise professional (who only wants to protect them<\/em>) is wise, more and more people are<\/em> becoming open to the idea.<\/p>\n

Exploring Franchise Ownership<\/h2>\n
