It’s perfectly okay to just\u00a0look<\/a><\/strong> around a bit.<\/p>\n

I really don’t blame you.<\/p>\n

Job security is almost non-existent these days.<\/p>\n

If you’re employed, and you’re really good at what you do, you can lose your job in a split second. Talent only goes so far these days.<\/p>\n

If you’ve been downsized, and you’re say…51 years old, I really<\/em> don’t blame you for wanting to explore “other options<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

If you’re 22 years old, and just graduated college (congrats!<\/em>) I certainly don’t blame you for wanting to be in control of your career by becoming the owner of a business. Especially since you’ve probably watched your mom or dad or aunt or uncle go through a downsizing. Pretty ugly<\/a><\/strong>, eh?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Don’t Drink This<\/h2>\n

If you are<\/em> looking at other options, like franchise ownership, do yourself a favor:<\/p>\n

Don’t Drink The Kool-Aid<\/strong><\/p>\n

Don’t look into franchise ownership because you’ve “heard<\/em>” that it’s a lot less risky than starting a business from scratch, or some other related nonsense.<\/p>\n

It’s not. Read<\/a><\/strong>. But still…<\/p>\n

It’s (franchising<\/em>) the greatest business model ever invented. You just have to know how to figure out what you can afford<\/a><\/strong>, choose a franchise that’s right for you, do amazing research<\/a><\/strong>, and make sure everyone that needs to be on board, is.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

You Don’t Have To<\/h2>\n

Really. You don’t have to<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You don’t have<\/em> to buy a franchise. You can just look around a bit. Lots of people do. You can even take a break from looking at all the different franchise opportunities and come back to your search another time. I’ve had people disappear off my radar screen…people who were really serious about being their own bosses, contact me two years after we first started working together.<\/p>\n

People decide not<\/em> to buy a franchise for lots of reasons…with fear<\/em> being the top reason.<\/p>\n

“This is all you have. This is not a dry run. This is your life. If you want to fritter it away with your fears, then you will fritter it away, but you won’t get it back later<\/em>.”
