I wonder why?<\/p>\n<p>So much for freedom of speech Down Under.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the USA has some <strong><a title=\"angry franchisees of burger king\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/is-burger-kings-1-double-cheeseburger-a-losing-proposition-for-its-franchisees\">angry franchisees<\/a><\/strong> too&#8230;.and some of them even set-up angry websites.<\/p>\n<p>It seems that this Australian franchisor is requesting that it&#8217;s 150+ franchisees spend some money to re-fit their stores. They want a new look. Well, the economy in Australia must not be exactly rocking and rolling, because lots of franchisees are playing hide-the-cheese; they don&#8217;t seem to have the cheese to pay for a re-fit. Read this from<strong> franchise.net.au<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Things are in mediation now, so we&#8217;ll see how things play out.<\/p>\n<p>This reminds me of all of those &#8220;<em>disgruntled<\/em>,&#8221; (<em>I really despise that goofy word<\/em>) franchisees who <strong><a title=\"mail boxes etc. lawsuits ups stores\" href=\"https:\/\/www.chron.com\/disp\/story.mpl\/business\/steffy\/4112507.html\">had to pay $50,000+ each<\/a><\/strong> to re-fit their Mailboxes Etc. stores when UPS purchased the entire franchise. Things went from red and blue, to <strong><a title=\"ups stores joel libava sba.gov\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sba.gov\/blogs\/do-you-have-special-personality-needed-be-franchise-owner\">brown<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>$50,000 sure sounds like a lot of money to spend in a lousy economy.
