{"id":3762,"date":"2011-09-23T13:57:22","date_gmt":"2011-09-23T13:57:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/?p=3762"},"modified":"2016-01-08T03:49:22","modified_gmt":"2016-01-08T03:49:22","slug":"more-women-should-buy-franchises","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/more-women-should-buy-franchises","title":{"rendered":"More Women Should Buy Franchises"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been <strong>counseling and advising prospective franchise owners<\/strong> for 10 years now, but only about 20 percent of the inquiries that I receive have come from women. I really wish the percentage was higher.<\/p>\n<p>And it&#8217;s not like there aren&#8217;t <strong>successful women in business<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>I wonder why the percentage of women that show interest in owning their own franchise business is so low. It&#8217;s pretty pretty disappointing, actually.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d say that 80% of the women that I&#8217;ve worked with in my <a title=\"franchise adviser\" href=\"https:\/\/becomeafranchiseowner.biz\/how-ill-help-you-become-a-franchise-owner\"><strong>franchise advisory business<\/strong> <\/a>were what I call &#8220;<em>High-Potential Franchise Candidates<\/em>.&#8221; That means that they had the potential to be\u00a0wildly\u00a0successful owners of <em>something<\/em>. \u00a0For them, continuing down the corporate employment track would be an\u00a0exercise\u00a0in futility; they&#8217;d never reach their rock star potential. (<em>More than most men.<\/em>) They seem to intuitively understand that the franchisor is <strong><a title=\"franchise entrepreneurs\" href=\"https:\/\/www.allbusiness.com\/company-activities-management\/company-structures\/12357164-1.html\">the true entrepreneur<\/a><\/strong>, and that they would be using the entrepreneur&#8217;s system to help them reach their own goals. But, something&#8217;s stopping most of these really sharp and very business-savvy women from digging in, and really learning about <strong><a title=\"small business trends women's franchise post joel libava\" href=\"https:\/\/smallbiztrends.com\/2010\/10\/why-aren%E2%80%99t-more-women-interested-in-franchise-ownership.html\">the potential they have as franchise owners<\/a><\/strong>.
