I liked it immediately. Mostly because of their appetizing* hours of operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*Appetizing to people like me who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/the-food-service-business-being-stuck\">worked<\/a> long-ass hours in the restaurant business for 17+ years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But before I tell you more about this interesting breakfast restaurant franchise concept, I need to share my recent experience dining at an Eggs Up Grill in North Carolina.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"620\" height=\"465\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/breafast-restaurant-franchise-north-carolina-620x465.jpg\" alt=\"eggs up grill breakfast franchise\" class=\"wp-image-40596\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h2>Dining At The Eggs Up Grill Breakfast Franchise In Shallotte, North Carolina<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly enough it was my brother who told me about \u201c<em>this pretty cool place we ate at<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We were on vacation, and he and my sister-in-law had taken our shared <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/avis-franchise-cost\">Avis rental car<\/a> to check off an item on their bucket list. Horseback riding on the beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So obviously famished after their physically intense horse-riding experience (<em>ahem<\/em>), they stumbled upon the Eggs Up Grill franchise in the little town of <a href=\"https:\/\/eggsupgrill.com\/locations\/shallotte-nc\/\">Shallotte<\/a>, North Carolina.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"620\" height=\"424\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/horseback-riding-beach-620x424.jpg\" alt=\"couple horseback riding on beach in north carolina\" class=\"wp-image-40600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/horseback-riding-beach-620x424.jpg 620w, https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/horseback-riding-beach-320x219.jpg 320w, https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/horseback-riding-beach-768x525.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/horseback-riding-beach.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>(<em>That&#8217;s my brother, Jon, showing off with my sister-in-law, Robin. Kidding. It&#8217;s not them<\/em>.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>Hey&#8230;I had a client buy an Eggs Up franchise in Florida. I\u2019ve always wanted to check one out<\/em>.\u201d So at the end of our vacation (<em>on the way to the airport<\/em>), we did. And here\u2019s how <em>that<\/em> went.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h2>45 Minutes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s how long it took for our table of 5 to get our food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m talking <em>breakfast<\/em> food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Not Grilled Sea Bass, set in a pool of Beurre Blanc sauce, topped with a generous dollop of Beluga Caviar<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"620\" height=\"827\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/breakfast-franchise-menu-620x827.jpg\" alt=\"eggs up grill breakfast menu\" class=\"wp-image-40597\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/breakfast-franchise-menu-620x827.jpg 620w, https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/breakfast-franchise-menu-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/breakfast-franchise-menu-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/breakfast-franchise-menu-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/breakfast-franchise-menu.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 620px) 100vw, 620px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Eggs Up Grill menu<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Simply stated, it took 45 minutes for the mostly attentive staff to bring a couple of omelets, an order of Avocado toast and eggs, and two breakfast sandwiches. And to top it off, the food was average. As in, nothing to write home about. &nbsp;Cool-looking place, though.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>Were they busy, Joel<\/em>?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes. Pretty busy. Not crazy-busy, but&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m pretty sure there were delivery drivers waiting to pick up food. That may have been part of the problem. It is for a lot of places. But I\u2019m not sure. The fact is, we waited way too long for our breakfast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I left unimpressed, a bit aggravated, but mainly disappointed. I <em>wanted<\/em> Eggs Up Grill to be good, and it kind of wasn\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/food-franchise-ownership\">every restaurant has bad days<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Staffing shortages. Inventory issues. Kitchen equipment breakdowns and more. Been there myself, and it sucks. <em>Bad<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With that said, <strong>I\u2019d be open to trying the Eggs Up Grill again<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because it may just have been one of those days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/eggs-up-grill-franchise-dallas-fort-worth\">Eggs Up Grill News Update!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now about those awesome hours of operation&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h2>Eggs Up Grill Breakfast Franchises Are Only Open From 6am-2pm!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In my almost 20 years in food service, I never worked at a restaurant with hours like that. Never! Those are <strong>easy<\/strong> hours people. Especially in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/the-death-of-automobile-rustproofing-can-ziebart-stay-relevant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a business<\/a> that typically requires a minimum of 12-hour days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe that\u2019s why (<em>according to their website<\/em>), the franchise is on track to have 100 restaurants open by 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<h2>Breakfast Franchise Review: Is Restaurant Experience Needed?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One question that I get asked a lot has to do with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/ray-kroc-the-entrepreneur-who-built-the-mcdonalds-franchise\">food-service experience<\/a>.
