But if he was, I have an idea on what it <s>would<\/s> should look like. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But first, do you know about Yellowstone?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>The Yellowstone Television Series Franchise<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you haven&#8217;t watched the now famous Yellowstone TV series on Paramount, you need to. Why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First off, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buzzfeednews.com\/article\/elaminabdelmahmoud\/yellowstone-season-five-review-taylor-sheridan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the acting is off the charts<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Second of all, this franchise isn&#8217;t* about Yellowstone National Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*<em>I figured it was, which is why I started watching this series a bit late in the game<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instead, it&#8217;s about life (<em>and death<\/em>) on a working ranch in Montana. One with intense characters and&#8230;well&#8230;watch this clip:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"625\" height=\"425\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fe05EYFlMLk\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>That was just a little taste of what goes on in Yellowstone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And if you <em>have<\/em> watched this Paramount show, good on you. It&#8217;s quite an experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, even though the gritty television series is scheduled to end in its current form, there are talks going on right now of the show continuing <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2023\/05\/yellowstone-end-final-season-sequel-series-matthew-mcconaughey-premiere-date-paramount-1235357050\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in a different way<\/a>. Now to my franchise idea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>The Dutton Ranch Bar And Grill<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wouldn&#8217;t it be great if you could take a piece of that special charm Yellowstone has and serve it on a plate, quite literally? Enter &#8220;<strong>The Dutton Ranch Bar And Grill<\/strong>.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But before we gallop on over to the ranch, let&#8217;s clarify: why a TV show-themed restaurant? Simple. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The blend of popular culture with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/restaurant-franchise\">food service<\/a> is a powerful business strategy that not only leverages the show&#8217;s existing fan base, but also provides a unique dining experience. And some of the d\u00e9cor would include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cowhide tablecloths with the Yellowstone logo &#8220;<em>branded<\/em>&#8220;&#8230;burned into it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Branded tableware and extra-large silverware<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dim lighting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High ceilings with weathered, exposed beams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Weathered wooden floors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A live stage for weekend country-western acts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In like manner, the employee uniforms would exude the Yellowstone brand. Heck, there&#8217;s plenty of merchandise already being produced. Like this t-shirt I purchased from Marshall&#8217;s last week.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"620\" height=\"467\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/yellowstone-tv-series-shirt-620x467.jpeg\" alt=\"yellowstone tv series merchandise t-shirt\" class=\"wp-image-44165\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A shirt like that would be perfect for the staff to wear. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And for pants, tight, western-style jeans and of course, boots, if comfortable ones can be found. Add a cowboy scarf and a cowboy hat, and you&#8217;re good to go!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>The Dutton Ranch Bar And Grill Menu<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/fast-casual-food-franchise-relaunches\">A restaurant<\/a> that encapsulates the spirit of the Montana ranch lifestyle, would serve a few obvious items. This is too easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dutton-style Bar-B-Que Ribs (<em>with Dutton&#8217;s famous cooked beans<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dutton Steaks (<em>served with Dutton&#8217;s Giant Baked Potatoes<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dutton&#8217;s Big Burgers (<em>served with Dutton&#8217;s Giant Steak Fries<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fresh Pan-Fried or Blackened Fish (<em>locally sourced<\/em>) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dutton&#8217;s Giant Entr\u00e9e-Sized  Salads<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pecan Pie, Apple Pie, Cheesecake<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dutton&#8217;s Homemade <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/crave-ice-cream-social-franchising\">Ice Cream<\/a> (<em>available for retail sales too<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Can you think of any other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/new-york-butcher-shoppe-franchise\">food items<\/a> that would be good for a Montana ranch themed restaurant franchise?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Restaurant Size<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A restaurant theme based on the Yellowstone television series needs to be bigly. I&#8217;m thinking a minimum of 10,000 square feet. Especially if we make room for a stage for live, local bands.. Wait. I forgot something.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There would need to be <a href=\"https:\/\/smallbusinesscurrents.com\/2023\/06\/05\/beverage-trends\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a bar<\/a>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A lively, large bar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So let&#8217;s add another 4,000 square feet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now you have a 14,000 square foot restaurant franchise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One that includes a dining room or two with total seating of 350, a 75+ seat bar, <em>and<\/em> a retail space for selling Yellowstone\/Dutton Ranch merchandise from the television series.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>The Upfront Investment For The Dutton Ranch Bar And Grill Franchise<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To begin with, a space like this would need to be custom-built. You can&#8217;t lease a space like this. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, you&#8217;ll need land, including a parking lot. So several acres. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then you&#8217;ll need to add fixtures, kitchen equipment, bar equipment seating, and the retail shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lastly, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/breakfast-franchise-review\">restaurant<\/a> like this is going to need an incredible amount of starting inventory. And a lot of employees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My estimation for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/personal-financial-snapshot\">the initial investment needed<\/a> to become a franchise owner of a Dutton Ranch Bar And Grill is around $4 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But for the right person, with deep enough pockets and serious food-service experience, this has the potential to be a wildly-popular and profitable opportunity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-background\" style=\"background-color:#d3d3d3\">For instance, if each franchise did only $20,000 a day x 7 days a week x 52 weeks, revenue would be over $7 million annually. And if franchisees could pocket 7-8% of that, they&#8217;d make a cool half a million dollars a year.
