The folks over at Small Business Trends lists a dozen or so franchises you can buy for under $10k. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In reality, it’s the upfront franchise fee<\/a> that’s under the $10,000 mark, but t<\/a>heir list<\/a> is still worth checking out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next, have you heard of Toastique?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a “toast<\/em>” franchise, and according to this report<\/a>, the franchisor is experiencing good momentum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although talk on the street is focused on this<\/a> cookie franchise, Great American Cookies just announced<\/a> the opening of its 400th<\/strong> location. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Started in 1977, this impressive franchise company has locations in 31 states and five countries around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other food franchise news, a full-service restaurant franchise<\/a> founded by the star of Paramount Network\u2019s Bar Rescue,<\/em> Jon Taffer, has signed a business deal to bring his Taffer\u2019s Tavern to Montgomery, Alabama. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deal<\/a> includes potential expansion into other areas of the state. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

FTC Updates And More<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This next piece is the type of franchising news that can impact the franchise industry in a big way, because it’s about the fact that the FTC is potentially considering closer regulation of franchising. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agency asked for public comment concerning some of the current regulations, and they’re doing a deep dive on them as we speak. I submitted my own comments and thoughts early on. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
