As a direct result, 80% reported lower business earnings over the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interestingly, while labor concerns have become less pressing\u2014dropping from 47% of respondents citing it as a major challenge in 2023 to 26% in 2024\u2014the costs associated with retaining staff remain steep, particularly in healthcare. On costs, the percentage of franchisees expecting further cost increases<\/a> remains high, rising from 51% in 2023 to 65% this year<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rising expenses across various sectors, such as insurance, inventory, supplies, and marketing, have further exacerbated the financial strain on franchise<\/a> operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the food industry has been particularly hard hit by inflation, followed closely by personal services and commercial\/residential services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
