There should be no doubt in your mind on which side of the aisle the largest and most powerful franchise association, (and it’s members<\/em>) tend to congregate. Not only do they spend lots<\/em> of time on the Right<\/strong><\/em>, it’s pretty obvious to me where most of their good ole boy backslapping<\/del> networking happens, too. \u00a0(With checkbooks in tow, I would imagine<\/em>.)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Is it wrong? I suppose it is if you’ve paid several thousands of dollars in membership dues, spend thousands more on travel\/entertainment, but don’t vote Republican<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I’m curious; if you voted for President Obama<\/a><\/strong>…let’s even say that you enthusiastically<\/em> voted for Obama<\/strong>, and always vote Democratic<\/strong>, are IFA gatherings<\/a><\/strong> uncomfortable to attend?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What if the situation was reversed? If you always voted Republican<\/strong>, and the IFA leaned Left<\/strong><\/em>, and threw their money towards the Democrats<\/strong>, would you feel out of place? Would you feel uncomfortable?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

My reason for writing this post has less to do with party\u00a0affiliations\u00a0than it has to do with principles. (I think<\/em>.) Think about it; one day you’re at home watching Wolf Blitzer<\/strong> extol the virtues of 2-3 Democratic<\/strong><\/em> Senators, and the next, you’re travelling to Orlando to attend the IFA Convention<\/em>, and hear Bill O’Reilly<\/strong> speak about all things Republican<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

If you\u00a0believe\u00a0in Democratic<\/strong><\/em> principles, how can you talk yourself into spending $2,500 to listen to Bill O’Reilly tell you that you’re an idiot?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Bill Clinton spoke a few years ago. If you voted\u00a0Republican<\/strong><\/em>, didn’t you<\/em> feel weird travelling to an IFA Convention to hear him tell you pretty much the same thing?<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Does it matter? I’d like to hear your thoughts on this topic.<\/p>\n
