Now, once a franchise agreement is signed, the ongoing relationship between the franchisor and franchisee is also not<\/em> regulated by any specific state franchise law. Accordingly, in the event of a dispute over these issues, both parties must rely on general principles of contract law<\/a> rather than a statute providing specific franchisee protections. However, there are two specific exceptions to this general framework. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, the state’s Distributorship Disclosure Act applies to certain business opportunities, often involving vending machines or product display racks, which have their own distinct registration and disclosure requirements with the Attorney General’s office. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second, New Hampshire provides statutory protections for dealers in specific industries, most notably motor vehicles. These industry-specific laws grant dealers rights concerning termination and other business practices that are not available to franchisees operating under the general business format model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
