In August<\/strong>, I wrote about the Mrs. Field’s <\/strong>franchise organization’s bankruptcy filing:<\/p>\n

"The Mrs. Fields Cookie franchise chain has just filed for bankruptcy
\nprotection, and according to corporate, one main reason is the decline
\nin customer traffic at malls.
\nThe
\nfiling also said the company has experienced a number of franchise
\nstore closings since its 2004 fiscal year, and this trend has continued
\nthroughout fiscal 2008. Mrs. Fields may need to close more stores in
\nthe future, according to the filing."<\/em><\/p>\n

Well now, according to The Wall Street Journal<\/strong> it seems that the Mrs. Field’s yogurt division, TCBY<\/strong> is up in arms over the filing. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The TCBY<\/strong> franchisee association said:<\/p>\n

"The independent association of frozen-yogurt store owners has numerous
\ncontracts with Mrs. Fields — whose retail empire includes TCBY — and
\nclaims that the company hasn’t committed to upholding those agreements."<\/em><\/p>\n

I am starting to really lose my appetite here, folks<\/p>\n
