(<em>I don&#8217;t mean to get you depressed<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been a very active (<em>42,000+ Tweets<\/em>) Twitter user for 5 years, now. Amazing. Twitter has been the most useful tool in my social media toolbox, and one of the reasons for it is that I&#8217;m afflicted (<em>?<\/em>) with <a title=\"adhd the franchise king\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/attention-deficit-disorder-even-kings-can-have-add-part-1\">this disease<\/a>. Twitter&#8217;s rapid-fire pace and style is a perfect fit for me. It allows me to use one of my top skills; speed. I get to think on my feet, and respond to other Tweets, and even comments and questions, quickly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Twitter has been an <em>amazing<\/em> networking tool for me.<\/h2>\n<p>It&#8217;s enabled me to get to know people all over the world. It&#8217;s also made it easier-and less awkward, to connect face to face.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.guykawasaki.com\/about\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6376\" title=\"guy kawasaki  and joel libava blogworld\" alt=\"guy kawasaki joel libava at blogworld\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/guy-and-joel.jpg\" width=\"180\" height=\"140\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>(<em>That&#8217;s me with Guy Kawasaki<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>About a year after I created my @FranchiseKing account on Twitter, I connected with Guy. He had just started his <strong>Alltop.com<\/strong> site, and I had an idea for him that I felt he should hear.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/alltop.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Featured in Alltop\" src=\"https:\/\/badges.alltop.com\/images\/f_alltop_125x125.jpg\" width=\"125\" height=\"125\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I had been following him for a while, and we had shared a few Tweets back and forth. I sent him a DM, and told him that I wanted to talk to him about an idea that I had to help Alltop.com grow. Guy said okay, and we arranged a phone call. A week later, I called him, and we had a 20 minute conversation. He kind of liked my idea, but he wasn&#8217;t overly excited by it. He never ended up using it, but I was okay with his decision. The point is that without Twitter-and without my activity on it, our phone conversation would have never been possible.<\/p>\n<p>Before Twitter, getting hold of an entrepreneur&#8230;a venture capitalist like Guy Kawasaki would have been next to impossible. Guy\u00a0obviously felt that I was credible; otherwise<em> he would not have given me his private phone number<\/em>.\u00a0 On Twitter, credibility consists of sharing\u00a0quality\u00a0content, and Re-Tweeting others high-quality content, too.<\/p>\n<p>Even though Guy didn&#8217;t use my idea, he did allow me to <a title=\"neenz and joel libava alltop \" href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/guy-kawasakis-a\">help NEENZ create the Franchising Page on Alltop<\/a>. That was really cool!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>On Sharing<\/h2>\n<p>Now, I <em>do<\/em> tend to share my own stuff on Twitter too much. Another person I was able to meet <em>because of Twitter<\/em> seems to have <a title=\"how chris brogan uses twitter\" href=\"https:\/\/www.chrisbrogan.com\/get-more-twitter-followers-today\/\">the use of Twitter<\/a> down to a science.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/how-to-make-your-local-franchise-business-stand-out\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-6379\" title=\"chris brogan interviews joel libava\" alt=\"chris brogan interviews joel libava\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Capturecb-320x134.png\" width=\"320\" height=\"134\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>(<em>Chris Brogan interviewing me about local franchise marketing<\/em>) <a title=\"chris brogan joel libava on franchise marketing\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/how-to-make-your-local-franchise-business-stand-out\">Watch The Interview<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I met Chris, (<em>after getting to know him a bit on Twitter<\/em>) at BlogWorld in Vegas, and we&#8217;ve been friends ever since. He&#8217;s very helpful.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t want you to feel that I&#8217;m bragging. I&#8217;m not.
