McDonald's\" width=\"220\" height=\"252\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>(<em>Mr. <strong>Ray Kroc<\/strong><\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>I would have really enjoyed a brief, yet&nbsp;fulfilling&nbsp;life as an insect in the 1950&#8217;s. I can <em>easily<\/em> imagine buzzing around <strong>from restaurant to restaurant<\/strong>, looking for&nbsp;gourmet feasts of the six-legged kind.<br \/>\n<a title=\"Housefly by Sam Bald, on Flickr\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/28931095@N03\/2699981113\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3215\/2699981113_8fe00013b7.jpg\" alt=\"Housefly\" width=\"360\" height=\"320\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>(The common housefly, Musca domestica<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>Since I&#8217;m already fantasizing, I may as well go all in, and imagine myself as <strong>The Fly on The Wall<\/strong> at a certain California<strong> hamburger restaurant<\/strong> owned by <strong>the McDonald brothers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>When <strong>Ray Kroc<\/strong> stopped at the McDonald brothers place of business to sell <a title=\"ray kroc milkshake mixers mcdonalds\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ray_Kroc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Prince Castle Multi-Mixers<\/a>, I wonder how fast Mr.Kroc&#8217;s wheels started turning when he witnessed the amazing assembly-line style food preparations that were taking place in their busy kitchen.<\/p>\n<p>As a fly, I may have been a little too focused on the leftover scraps that were being created in that glorious kitchen, but what <a title=\"stop eating big macs\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/mcdonalds-happy-meal-horrors-the-franchise-king-is-overweight-and-out-of-shape-because-he-had-one-to\">if I would have stopped eating<\/a> for a few minutes, and actually<em> listened<\/em> to their history-making conversations that took place almost 60 years ago? <em>They must have been amazing<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>What Was Ray Kroc Like?<\/h2>\n<p>According to Anish Chandy, when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/ray-kroc-the-entrepreneur-who-built-the-mcdonalds-franchise\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ray Kroc<\/strong><\/a> was fifteen, he lied about his age and landed himself the job of an ambulance driver for the Red Cross. After that he tried his hand at a myriad of things, <strong>finally settling down to be a salesman<\/strong>. He initially sold paper cups, but opportunity knocked on his door when he had a chance meeting with Earl Prince, the inventor of the five-spindle multimixer. Kroc convinced Earl to give him <em>exclusive<\/em> marketing rights for the mixture and successfully sold it all over the country for the next decade and a half.<a title=\"ray kroc buzzle.com\" href=\"https:\/\/www.buzzle.com\/editorials\/4-21-2005-68865.asp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Read more about Kroc at Buzzle.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Another, &#8220;<em>salesman,<\/em>&#8221; trying to dominate the world. Can you name some others?<\/p>\n<p>So, what was Ray Kroc thinking? Was his vision of having his restaurants dotting the landscape of just about every freeway exit ramp neighborhood immediate? Was he truly a visionary? And, how much trial and error did he do before he felt that his hamburger restaurants were up to snuff? And, would he be <strong>out of his mind angry<\/strong> if he was able to read this <a title=\"mcdonalds double drive through reviews\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/how-mcdonalds-screwing-up-franchises\">recent review of the McDonald&#8217;s Double Drive-Thru<\/a>&nbsp;experiment?<\/p>\n<p>And, if I <em>was<\/em> <strong>The Fly on The Wall<\/strong> during some of the conversations he was having with the brothers, would I have sensed that he was truly an amazing man?<\/p>\n<p>I know one thing I would have seen; one of the best salesmen to ever walk the earth. And, one heck of an entrepreneur.<br \/>\n<em>Perfection is very difficult to achieve, and perfection was what I wanted in McDonald&#8217;s.
