You do like <strong>clean windows<\/strong>, right?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Not The First Franchise To Clean Windows<\/h2>\n<p>Men in Kilts\u00ae, a Vancouver-based window cleaning franchisor, isn&#8217;t the first company that\u2019s tried to break into this highly fragmented service business. For the most part, businesses that clean windows are of the one-man show variety.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0One-Man Show Requirements;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cleaning solution<\/li>\n<li>Sponges<\/li>\n<li>Squeegees<\/li>\n<li>Rags<\/li>\n<li>A ladder<\/li>\n<li>A van<\/li>\n<li>A phone<\/li>\n<li>Advertising flyers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Add a business license and a checking account to the mix, and you\u2019re in business!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>The Competition<\/h2>\n<p>Window cleaning businesses are<em> really<\/em> cheap to start; that leads to lots of competition. But, for the most part, <em>the competition isn\u2019t very organized<\/em>. And, it\u2019s not like you can quickly name a window washing business in your area. That\u2019s right; the window washing business has a serious branding problem. Plus, it\u2019s not considered to be a very <em>sexy<\/em> business to own and operate.<\/p>\n<p>But problems can be turned into opportunities. (<em>Entrepreneurs are really good at doing that<\/em>.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>An Experience<\/h2>\n<p>One way to differentiate a business is by changing how it\u2019s perceived. In the case of Men in Kilts\u00ae, the founders decided to add a very unique thing to the window cleaning model;<\/p>\n<p><strong>A sexy uniform<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.meninkilts.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-6639\" title=\"clean window men in kilts\" alt=\"clean window men in kilts\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Capturekilt-320x185.png\" width=\"335\" height=\"202\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This uniform attracts serious attention. Think about it; if you were driving down your street, and saw three dudes dressed in Kilts climbing up a ladder to start cleaning your neighbor\u2019s windows, you would do a serious double-take. I\u2019d wager that you would pay a visit to your neighbor\u2019s house to see what the heck was going on over there. I know I would. Having a few men come over your house, or enter your business dressed in kilts, to do some much-needed window cleaning is guaranteed to be a memorable experience every time.<\/p>\n<p>Men In Kilts\u00ae was started in 2002 by Nicholas Brand with $500, a rusty old Honda, and a hand-sewn kilt. Since then, the business has grown steadily since they began franchising in 2011. This Canadian franchisor has received lots of press, and it will continue too.
