{"id":7022,"date":"2012-07-30T15:45:47","date_gmt":"2012-07-30T15:45:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/?p=7022"},"modified":"2013-07-26T18:58:46","modified_gmt":"2013-07-26T18:58:46","slug":"franchise-power-the-franchise-model","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/franchise-power-the-franchise-model","title":{"rendered":"Franchise Power"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7023\" title=\"franchise model\" alt=\"the franchise model\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/the-strength-in-the-franchise-business-model-169x300.jpg\" width=\"299\" height=\"470\" \/><\/p>\n<p>(<em>My little cousin-Matthew<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>franchise model<\/strong> is very powerful.<\/p>\n<p>One franchise business-owned by one person, can bring about a lot of change.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>For The Franchisee<\/h2>\n<p>For someone that&#8217;s had some success in the corporate world, but has\u00a0experienced\u00a0<a title=\"getting downsized\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/downsized\">the ugliness of being downsized<\/a>, becoming the owner of a franchise can spell\u00a0<em>relief<\/em>. That&#8217;s because if the franchise business that&#8217;s been chosen turns out to be a winner, the ex-corporate employee will never have to experience getting fired&#8230;.ever again. Of course, choosing <em>the right franchise<\/em> isn&#8217;t easy. And, <em><strong>the financial risks are real<\/strong><\/em> if you choose the wrong one.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/joel-libava-franchise-consulting-franchise-advisor-services\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/click-franchise-owner.gif\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s another thing that the franchise model can do for the franchisee, and most potential owners don&#8217;t usually think of it while they&#8217;re entrenched in the investigative part of the buying process. The &#8220;thing&#8221; I&#8217;m referring to is self-esteem.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve seen beat-down former corporate executives be transformed into the energetic and positive people they were <strong><em>before<\/em><\/strong> they received <a title=\"you may be getting a pink slip \" href=\"https:\/\/www.wisebread.com\/you-re-fired-20-signs-that-a-pink-slip-is-coming\" target=\"_blank\">their pink slips<\/a>. It&#8217;s a sight to behold, and it makes me feel great about what I do for a living.<\/p>\n<p><em>I love moving people away from corporate America and into businesses of their own<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>There are several other things that are really powerful for franchise owners. Maybe you&#8217;d like to share what yours are in the comment section below.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>For The Community<\/h2>\n<p>One franchise business can bring about some much-needed change to a community.<\/p>\n<p>Some of our nation&#8217;s rural area have been hit pretty hard by the recession. One well-placed <a title=\"small town franchises\" href=\"https:\/\/www.smallbizsurvival.com\/2010\/07\/could-franchise-businesses-start.html\">franchise business in a small town<\/a> can provide several things;<\/p>\n<p>1. <strong>Light construction work<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If the franchise is one that requires a location, like an<strong> Ace Hardware Store<\/strong>, or a <strong>UPS Store<\/strong>, the retail space that the new business will be located at will need some work. While this work wouldn&#8217;t be long-term, it would be work.<\/p>\n<p>2. <strong>Banks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hopefully, <em>a local bank<\/em> would be used for the franchise&#8217;s small business loan. There&#8217;s nothing wrong with a bank earning some income from interest. And, it&#8217;s a lot easier for a franchisee to go to a local bank for additional funds, especially if the banker can pay an in-person visit to the franchise location to <em>see<\/em> how things are going.<\/p>\n<p>3.<strong> Jobs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Most franchises need employees. If <a title=\"mcdonalds university heights ohio\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thefranchiseking.com\/shovel-ready-franchises\">a food franchise like McDonald&#8217;s comes to town<\/a>, 40-50 jobs are instantly created. Are they great jobs? Not really. But, once in awhile, <a title=\"mcdonald's employee becomes a franchisee\" href=\"https:\/\/www.starnewsonline.com\/article\/20110422\/ARTICLES\/110429893\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">a\u00a0McDonald&#8217;s\u00a0employee moves up the ladder<\/a>. And does big things. You never know, right?<\/p>\n<p>Even smaller franchises-ones that only need 7-8 employees, can provide\u00a0relief for local communities reeling from high unemployment. New businesses=new jobs.<\/p>\n<p>There are probably a few more things that franchises bring to an area. If <em>you<\/em> know what they are-maybe you&#8217;ve seen them firsthand, please share them below.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Finally, <em>not everyone likes franchises<\/em>. I understand. But, franchise businesses <em>do<\/em> create jobs. And, there are a lot of people that need them. In addition, there&#8217;s a lot of personal power that comes with franchise ownership.
