If you could walk into a Lamborghini dealership<\/a>, checkbook in hand, and buy one of the most sought-after automobiles in the world, most people would consider you to be very successful.<\/p>\n

I know I<\/em><\/strong> would.<\/p>\n

And, if you<\/em> define success<\/strong> as the ability to buy whatever you want-whenever you want, driving around in a red Diablo fits right in with your definition.<\/p>\n

In a material world.<\/p>\n

The Look Of Success<\/h2>\n

There’s nothing wrong, (in my opinion<\/em>) with defining success with stuff<\/em>.<\/p>\n

I know a lot of successful people who have a lot of material things…stuff. Some of their stuff is real visible.<\/p>\n

I also know a lot of very successful people who don’t “Look<\/em>” successful.<\/p>\n

Do you remember a book called, “The Millionaire Next Door<\/em>?”<\/p>\n

I do, and I know people like that<\/em>. These people…these millionaires, drive low-key cars, live in average-sized homes, and are rarely out and about flashing their cash.<\/p>\n

And, a lot of them are small business owners. Some are franchise<\/em> business owners<\/a>.<\/p>\n

All of them are successful, by society’s standards<\/strong><\/em>.
\n <\/p>\n

The Feel Of Success<\/h2>\n

I feel successful.<\/p>\n

Even if I haven’t even come close to reaching my personal goals.<\/p>\n

(Or, my financial goals<\/em>)<\/p>\n

Yet.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I feel successful because I get to do what I like to do and get paid for it<\/em>. Lots of people don’t get to do that. They have to hold on to their miserable jobs…or else.<\/p>\n

But, not me.<\/p>\n

I feel that I’m successful as a parent, husband, and friend.<\/p>\n

I feel successful because I’m generous-when I can be<\/em>.<\/p>\n

I feel that I’m successful at networking with others in the franchising and small business space.<\/p>\n

I feel that I’m successful because I did this<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And, if I can change the franchise world<\/a>, I’ll really<\/em> feel that I’m a successful guy.<\/p>\n

How do you<\/em> define success?<\/p>\n

Do you feel<\/em> successful?<\/p>\n

If you don’t, are you taking the necessarily steps<\/a> needed to help you become successful?<\/p>\n

(However you define it<\/em>)<\/p>\n
