One day, I asked one of the owners why there were so darn many pizza shops. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Joel<\/em>,&#8221; he said, &#8220;<em>my mark-up on pizza is about 800%<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Question answered.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>For the 2nd year in a row<\/strong>, the folks at <strong>Franchise Direct<\/strong> have provided a mouth-watering report on the state of the pizza franchise industry.
